As a multidisciplinary artist one may say you have no craft in which you work; I say the world is my medium and I do my best to respect the discipline and let it teach me.
Making art is the human language of the senses.
Art is feeling one’s way through an abstract painting and allowing the colors to speak.
Art is space knowing where my body lies and absorb the courage it takes to contrast the negative space.
Art is line, seeing the horizon line and allow it to offer hope.
Art is texture letting the rough spots, the edges offer depth.
Art is seeing and drawing the veins of a leaf and never quite looking at it the same.
Art is touching the cold clay and listening to the timing of the wheel.
Art is imagining what could be but is not.
Art is telling a story.
Art is what reminds us of our humanity, so that we may notice the pacing of our heart and the music that it speaks.
